02Ingredients
Brownie
- 1,000 g Pâte's Brownie Cake Mix
- 250 g eggs (approx. 5)
- 250 g melted butter or sunflower oil
- 150 g water
- 200 g roughly chopped walnuts (optional)
Topping
- 600 g Pâte's Dark Chocolate Ganache Sauce
- 50 g roasted hazelnuts (for decoration)
03Method
- 01
Preheat the oven to 170 °C (340 °F) and line the tray with baking paper.
- 02
Mix the cake mix, eggs and water on low speed for 1 minute. Add the fat and mix for another 2 minutes; avoid overmixing to keep a dense texture.
- 03
Fold in the walnuts with a spatula, spread the batter into the tray and level the surface.
- 04
Bake for 25–30 minutes; the center should remain slightly moist. Leave to cool completely in the tray.
- 05
Warm the dark ganache sauce to about 35 °C (95 °F), pour it over the brownie and spread evenly with a spatula.
- 06
Once the ganache has set, decorate with hazelnuts and cut into squares with a warm knife.
